About Us

David Dickson

The company was founded in 1924 by David Dickson. He set up shop in Fleet street in Dublin with a distributorship for R&M Bearings.

David Derek & Roy Dickson

His two sons Roy and Derek joined the business and in 1970 were passed the reins. The business grew and increased its portfolio with manufacturers such as SKF INA and RHP.

Ian & John Dickson

The business today is still in family hands with David's two grandsons Ian and John running the business ninety-five years later. They have developed a substantial range of high-quality manufacturers to the portfolio. The company has also embraced a period of change to keep up with the 21^st century and give our customers the best of service.

THIRD GENERATION

Dickson Bearings and Transmissions Ltd, now a third-generation Irish family company has become one of the leaders in industrial parts distribution in Ireland. Besides providing a distribution service to all the counties in Ireland from its Finglas warehouse facility, Dicksons also provide a high level of technical product support for customers, to enable them to obtain the optimum in product life.

All these brands and others, add value to Dickson’s reputation as technical problem solvers as well as being able to provide 24/7 product availability to Irish industry.

OUR SERVICES

In recent years we have developed our reliability services to complement our product range and give our customers better service. We provide a range of Reliability Services which includes vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography and lubrication services. Dickson’s are the only certified maintenance partner (CMP) for SKF in Ireland and through this partnership, Dicksons are working closely with Irish industry to minimise the total cost of operations(TCO).
