The Inpro/Seal Bearing Isolator provides permanent bearing protection for pumps, motors, gearboxes, pillow blocks and other rotating equipment. A two-part dynamic seal, the Inpro/Seal Bearing Isolator consists of a stator and rotor working in conjunction to form a non-contacting compound labyrinth seal with no wearing parts and ingress protection ratings up to IP66. When at rest, the Inpro/Seal VBX ring effectively seals the labyrinth blocking condensation and other contaminants from entering the bearing housing. During operation, centrifugal force lifts the VBX ring away from contact with the stator to create a non-wearing permanent seal. Outside contamination attempting to enter the bearing housing is captured in the outer labyrinth paths and expelled through a port in the stator. Bearing lubricant is captured in the inner portion of the labyrinth and directed back into the bearing housing.
